Maternity Photoshoot in Amsterdam: The Best Time and What to Wear

Pregnancy passes quickly, and the bump you have today looks different in two weeks. A maternity photoshoot is a simple way to hold onto this short season and remember how it felt.

The best window is usually between 28 and 34 weeks. Your bump is round and clear, and you are generally still comfortable enough to enjoy the session. If you are expecting twins, a little earlier can be wise.

We shoot in our Westerpark daylight studio, where soft natural light does most of the work. The pace is slow and unhurried, with plenty of room to sit, rest, and take your time.

Fitted clothing shows the bump best. Many mothers bring a long dress in a plain colour, plus something simpler like a soft top and leggings. We are happy to guide you on the day.

Partners are welcome, and so are older children. A few frames with the whole family often become the favourites. Come as you are, and we handle the rest.

Your edited photos arrive within 5 working days through a private online gallery. You pick the ones you love, ready to print or share with family.

You can see current dates on our maternity photoshoot page and reserve your ideal window before it fills up.

Maternity photoshoot questions

When is the best time for a maternity photoshoot?

Between 28 and 34 weeks works well for most pregnancies. Book a little earlier if you are expecting more than one baby.

What should I wear?

Fitted clothing shows the bump most clearly. A long plain dress is a reliable choice, and we can guide you on the day.

Can my partner and children join?

Yes. Partners and older children are welcome, and family frames are often the photos people treasure most.
